Migraine Pillow I have a friend who gets horrible migraines with nausea. I just designed a special pillow for her with herbs & oils. Here is my recipe: Migraine Pillow 1/2 cup dried chamomile flowers 1/4 cup dried peppermint or spearmint leaves 1/4 cup dried orange peel 1/8 cup dried lavender flowers 2 drops orange essential oil 2 drops lavender essential oil Combine herbs & oils & mix well. Place in a glass jar and store in a cool dry dark place. let herbs sit for about a week shaking jar every couple of days. Place herbs in a Muslin Bag or sew your own cotton pouch (about 4 X 4 inches) Flannel is a nice touch since it's nice and soft. You can also add cotton balls to the pillow to bulk it up. To use, just place on forehead or face and relax. If the scents start to fade, crush the pillow a little to release the scents of the petals & flowers. You can also add one drop of each essential oil. Remember, this is a migraine pillow and not a pot pourri sachet so you don't want to overscent it. If you are giving as a gift, you may want to get a small glass vial (like those perfume sample ones) and fill with lavender/orange essential oil blend so they can rescent the pillow. You may also use lavender/chamomile blend (but chamomile oil is SUPER expensive...only if you have it on hand) Enjoy :-) Lisa Halifax, Canada
