I wasn't sure if this was a frugal pet care tip, but then I got to thinking that if your horse spits his worming paste on the floor, that would be a waste. So here is how we use to give are horses thier worm paste, and it worked every time.

Have someone hold an apple up in the air and just as he lifts his head to bite the apple shoot the paste down the back of his throat then put the apple in his mouth. He is so busy thinking of eating the apple, he forgets the paste and swallows it down. So easy and quick and we never lost a drop of paste.
