How To Make A Mint With Cheap Promotions Copyright 2004 by Kevin Bidwell All-In-One-Business.com Want to make money online, but don't have money to advertise? Here are six cheap (or even free) ways to build a targeted list and get people to your website. 1. Swap Subscribers Let's say you have 200 subscribers.probably not making much money from them yet. Want to make more? Simple: Find someone else who has a newsletter and offer to "swap subscribers"-tell them you will run a little ad for their newsletter to your subscribers, keeping track of how many new subs you send them. Then, they have to run an ad for you until they have returned to you an equal number of subscribers. If you can send them 50, they send you 50. 2. Put Up Flyers Got a catchy domain name? Put up flyers around on telephone poles, etc. (Make sure not to violate any local laws!) In a high-traffic local area you are likely to see hundreds of visitors over time. Make sure to have your signs printed up on special stock that is weatherproof. 3. Sponsor a Team (or an Individual) This works for any product or service but especially well if your product or service is related to the sport. Can't fork over millions for a NASCAR sponsorship? Try buying a "warm up suit" for the local track star who is going to the state finals (television!). I have put together a list of places where you can get sponsorship materials put together cheap: http://www.All-In-One-Business.com/sponsor If you have the budget, tell the athlete you will give $100 to their favorite charity if they wear your hat and mention your site on a television interview. 4. Get Active in Targeted Newsgroups and Forums While you should NEVER simply put an ad in a newsgroup or forum, becoming "part of the crowd" can give you great exposure. Make sure the group is targeted to your market niche. I have put together a complete tutorial on this here: http://www.All-In-One-Business.com/newsforums 5. Send a Letter In the US you can send a postal letter almost anywhere in the world for less than $1. Try sending a personal note to some of your best customers describing your newest product. You will be surprised at the amount of business it will generate both initially and over the next several months. While not everyone will take you up on the initial offer, the personal contact will make them much more likely to respond to your more "impersonal" offers later. 6. Piggy-Back On Someone Else's Success Contact someone who is already successful and ask their advice. As long as "giving advice" is not their stock-in-trade (they aren't a life coach or a seminar instructor), they will likely be happy to correspond with you. Often THEY will suggest ways they can help you become more successful. By the way, if you can afford to, a huge way to gain an upper hand online is to actually pay for one-on-one time. Here are some people who offer that for surprisingly low rates: http://www.All-In-One-Business.com/mentor Want to succeed online without much of a budget? Put to work these six strategies and you might just see your profits reach much higher levels-without it costing you an arm and a leg. ============================================================ Kevin Bidwell is owner of http://www.all-in-one-business.com Kevin just finished a complete report on building a passive income.
