From: Tina Massage Butter Blend 2 T coconut oil 2 T cocoa butter 2 T apricot kernel oil 1 1/4 t beeswax Essential oil of choice Melt all the ingredients together over low heat. Add desired essential oil, approximately 20 drops. Pour into containers and label. Lavender Bubble Bath 1 bunch Lavender 1 large bottle clear organic shampoo 5 drops oil of Lavender Clean wide-neck jar with screw top Place Lavender head down in the jar. Cut down to fit. Add shampoo and Lavender oil. Close and place in sunny window (sorry if you are not in a place the sun reaches this time of year! I am lucky enough to be in California.) for 2-3 weeks and shake occasionally. Strain and re-bottle. Use 1 tbsp. in a bath. Kitchen Potpourri 1/4 cup whole cloves 1 cup whole allspice 10 cinnamon sticks, each 3" long, broken into pieces 8 small bay leaves 4 whole nutmegs 3 tablespoon star anise 2 tablespoon whole cardamom pods Combine all the ingredients in a bowl, mixing well. Store indefinitely at room temperature, stirring occasionally. Make an inexpensive, yet effective, astringent by adding a few drops each of tea tree oil and lavender oil to 1/2 cup witch hazel. Bath salts 3 C. Epsom salts 1 T. glycerin 2 drops food color 2 drops of essential oil Mix glycerin, coloring & e.o. then add to salt and mix well. Chocolate Lip Gloss 3 Tbsp. Cocoa Butter 4-5 Chocolate Chips 1 capsule, Vit. E Melt, and blend ingredients with a spoon until smooth, put into a container and refrigerate until solid. Scented Dusting Powder 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 tsp. almond oil 1 C. cornstarch To mix, stir together extract & oil. Place cornstarch in blender. With blender setting at low speed, slowly add oil mix.to cornstarch. When well mixed, pour into clean container. (Decorative tins or recycled spice jars with perforated tops make ideal containers.) To use, apply to skin with shaker-type container or use powder puff or brush. Yield: 8 oz.
